Residential

Hytte på Isrenna,

Latitude Zero Architects

Holmsbu-Norway
Høst/2016

The site is located at a junction with a rocky scape which we chose to preserve. The intervation on site was to make use of the existing landscape so as to create an
architecture that blends and interacts with its sorroundings with the most minimal interference.
The two storey modern free time house is placed in such a a way that one of the balconies on the eastern side extends and rests on top of the rocks to create a transition from the inside to the outside.
The hytte floor plan is also layed out in such a way that creates an open visual experience though the largewindows on the eastern facade . Through these , one can
capture the beutifull views of the North sea .
This was one of the main guiding principles for the orientation of the project on site.
