The site is located  along the  rift valley area of Kasese in Western Uganda in a water  logged area that required special foundation construction.
Due to the location of the site in the rift valley,  all blocks were reinforced with columns and beams  to cater for earthquake catastrophies in the future.

The  project consists of four main blocks connected by a breeze walkway  which creates a main spine for the facility. It aids the  circulation of  patients and visitors to the respective departments.
In addition, most of the technical and mechanical systems of the facility are run along this  spine and then distributed to the various blocks.

In a sustainable way, the project provided locals with employment opportunities
such as  brick making  and laying . This in a way creates a sense of ownership by the locals in the comunity
